Professional Post Acute

Dr. John H. Fullerton has served as the Medical Director for Professional Post Acute in Southern Marin (formerly Country Villa San Rafael) since 2007.

Professional Post Acute is considered among the finest skilled nursing facilities in California and was deemed a geriatric program training site for Dr. Fullerton’s Medical Residents rotating in Geriatrics from St. Mary’s Medical Center from 2009-2016 and is currently a training site for Physician Assistant Students (PA-S) from Samuel Merritt University.

Dr. Fullerton has provided medical care within Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Facilities for the last 20 years and is Board Certified as a Medical Director as well as Hospice Medical Director.

Dr. Fullerton sits on the Board of Directors of the CA Chapter of AMDA (American Medical Directors Association) through (CALTCM - California Association of Long-Term Care Medicine) and serves as the Chair of Public Policy for the State of California.

In May 2014, Dr. Fullerton took office for a two-year term as President-Elect for the CA Chapter of AMDA, after serving as Vice President-Elect for the previous two years.
